Excitor's History

2008
Excitor continues its market expansion with a strong focus on customer satisfaction as a critical success parameter. Our product development team continues to enhance and expand DME, our world-class mobile solution, which enables large and midsize enterprises to provide their employees with mobile business applications without compromising security. Continued focus is also placed on enhancing DME's facilities for managing all company mobile phones/PDAs and on tracking and controlling the costs related to data and voice traffic.

2007
The expansion was well underway in 2007 with offices established in and outside the Nordic region. In addition, a number of European partners added the DME solution to their business offerings.

2006
An experienced management team was brought on board in early 2006 to ensure further market growth and the successful expansion of the company into the rest of Europe via a network of business partners.

2005
Until 2005, DME was mainly sold in the Danish market but in 2005/2006, customers in the other Scandinavian markets came on board.

2004
DME was launched in 2004 as a fully encrypted mobile e-mail solution for devices. The solution leveraged the company’s experience with MobileCare in terms of large deployments, security and superior user experience. DME contained not only mobile e-mail and PIM synchronization, but also the central administrative tools necessary to control a large fleet of mobile phones and PDAs. Moreover the solution provided all the security features necessary to protect company data on mobile phones.

2001
Excitor was founded in Denmark in 2001 with a vision to create innovative mobile solutions for workers in the field. The flagship product, MobileCare, was sold to Zealand Care in 2003 so that Excitor could focus its energy on developing DME (Dynamic Mobile Exchange) a solution for combined secure push e-mail and mobile device management.
